Having Different Beliefs

Something that I run into a lot is finding a partner who is seemingly perfect for me, but is adamant about their religious beliefs. I am not a religious person at all. It takes a lot to convince me otherwise- considering, no one has been able to convince me of anything short of being atheist. It's hard for me to grasp anything religious because it simply does not make sense to me. Having various partners with different beliefs, it has been hard to deal with. Many of my previous partners have made an effort to change me and that just isn't fair. I would love to find someone on the same page or at least willing to respect each others beliefs.

Has anyone had this problem?
How do you deal with difference in beliefs?
