    Default Spousal Visa Direct File

    Hi,

I am wanting to bring my new pinay wife to the USA. We have lived in the Philippines for many months so we plan to direct file at the embassy. Because I have been here my earnings have not been as high as normal and I do not meet the financial requirement for I864 a financial affidavit. because of this I have a co sponsor. I wanted to know if anyone has done it this way and succeeded.

    Thank you,
    Isaac

Hello Isaac, I am a pinay who is now living in another country because my husband is a foreign man. I think each country of destination had different regulations to be followed and documents and requirements that is needed to be submitted before they grant a spouse visa. It is best right that you will file to the embassy of your country in the Philippines. I do hope that your pinay wife will be granted her spouse visa in due time so that you can have and live a new life in your home country. All the best of luck to you and to your pinay wife.

I am going through the same thing. I may start a blog about about it.

You have to be a resident for over 6 months to be eligible to direct file at the embassy. You have to show proof of living there among other things. The process seems tricky but much quicker than filing through the US.
