    Default Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you're having a great time and absolute fun together with your family and friends. Are you going to dress up for this occasion then? Well, I won't be wearing any costume for Halloween, but I would love to dress up as Daenerys/Khaleesi from the Game of Thrones.

Happy Halloween too! Oh! I miss celebrating the Halloween together with my family there in our country. It is just so sad that here in the country of my husband they are not giving importance that much celebrating the Halloween but if ever there are only a few of them. Maybe they had a different belief in their tradition and culture. How I wish that next year I can go back home for a visit and celebrate the Halloween together with my family. There is really no better place like your home in your own country...

There is no Halloween tradition in the Philippines but I have noticed that in last decade, some villages are opening their gates to the trick-or-treaters. This Halloween, there are 3 groups of children that came in their disguises and costumes. We gave them candies and money for encouragement. We also took their photos for souvenir. I am predicting that next year the number of children to go on trick-or-treating in our place would be more. Maybe the tradition of Halloween coming here is part of the globalization. The tradition of other countries are being adopted here.

Sadly there is no traditional Halloween celebration in my country. The young generation merely dresses up in gaudy make up and skimpy clothes and goes partying in discs and clubs. Or these big hotel chains and posh restaurants host dinners and buffets - on invitation only. These are the only kind of Halloween that I have heard of. I would love to celebrate it, though. The idea of carving pumpkins, decorating the house and dressing up in costumes sounds like an extremely fun idea!
