Default Davao City mayor Duterte is pulling away in the presidential race survey

In the news this morning is the survey by SWS, a reputable pollster. For the presidential derby, in the lead with 38% is Rodrigo Duterte. He leads in all categories, in all provinces and age bracket. A far second choice is a tie between Grace Poe and Jojo Binay at 21%. That's quite a lead because that 17% is too high although political analysts are saying that the it's still early in the game. It can be remembered that before the declaration of intent to run, it was always Binay in the lead in all surveys. And then Grace Poe came to fore and she grabbed the lead from Binay. Now it is Duterte's run and there's no other pretender in sight.

Even before he declared his run, most people I know bet on him. After his decision, it doubled. Even my facebook newsfeed is full of details about him. It awes me to an extent that he is really this much popular and people are loving him, and speaks of him so often. It's not that I don't like him, but people can't even stop talking about him. It's worse than AlDub. But yeah, I like what he did and doing in Davao City. Somehow, it's making me proud as a Filipino. I hope he'll continue it if he wins.
